A Perfect Day For The Zoo!!!

The kids have been wanting a "family fun" day and with the cooler temps today was a perfect day for the zoo.

Only a little while longer till the new polar bear exhibit comes to the zoo! The kids can't wait!

The koala was awake for the first time in all of the years we've been coming to the zoo.

Penguins are always a favorite of the kids.

Look Who's On The $100 Bill...

A few more pictures from the exhibit...

I made this cut out of a $100 bill for the exhibit area. The kids (as well as MANY others) had a blast putting their face in the place of Franklin's.

Morgan's turn.

After all of the work it took to make the cut out, even Mom had to give it a try!!

A Night With Benjamin Franklin...

Jake got to spend a little "one on one" time with Ben.

Tonight was the grand opening of my Benjamin Franklin exhibit. The kids came to the opening night performance. Jake's Cub Scout troop even got to be part of the evening events by leading the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. The event was a big success and I think everyone had a lot of fun!!

Spidey Kids...

We were back at the county fair again today because I had to work the university booth. While there this time the kids decided they wanted to try to climb the rock wall that the Army had up for people to try. It was crazy high!! Morgan only got up about half way before freaking out and working her way back down. Jake on the other hand made his way up to the tip top as quick as a spider monkey not once but TWICE!!! (Sorry about the pictures, they were taken on my cell phone!)

Look at Jake go!!

Better Late Than Never!!!

Well, Morgan had her 11 year old check up today. (Only 3 months after her birthday.)

We figured that it would be a quick no fuss check up since she recently finished her last round of Gardasil shots. (She is officially, "One Less!!") However, she wound up a little upset because she ended up getting two more shots. One for tetanus, and one for meningitis. Other than that, the check up was all good news.

Sherri, Michael and Kylie came down from Cleveland yesterday. Since we don't get to see them much it was great having them here. We spent a fun day with them at Young's Jersey Dairy before they headed home.

Well the kids spent a fun week in Cincinnati with Aunt Jenny, Uncle Patrick, Ethan and Elaine. I can't thank them enough for helping us out this week. The kids had a blast going to the zoo, the children's museum, and swimming in Uncle Michael's pool.
