New Years Eve

Happy New Years Everyone!!!!


We spent New Years Eve at Fort Rapids this year.

After spending the afternoon playing in the water everyone donned their New Years attire for all of the hotel festivities!!

It's always so much fun to play on the slides and such !

A Few Days in Cincinnati

The kids and I decided to take advantage of our time off of work and school to spend a few days with Jenny and her kids in Cincinnati.

On Monday, we all headed over to the Cincinnati Museum Center for a day of fun.

Jake stands under the barage of falling balls. (Ethan and Aunt Jenny wisely stay a few feet back!!)

Christmas... Part 2

We met up with Daddy's side of the family on the day after Christmas.

It was great to celebrate with Uncle Chuck, Aunt Tammy, Mariah, Lily, and Grandma Dorothy.

Christmas at Nonie & Poppy's

After spending the morning checking out the gifts that Santa brought them, we all headed over to Nonie and Poppy's house to celebrate Christmas with Mommy's side of the family.

Jake got a lot more presents, including Puffles and World of Zoo.

Morgan cleaned up in the present department as well.

Christmas Morning

Well suprise, suprise, Morgan and Jake must of made the nice list this year because Santa was here and left a stack of presents!! The kids were very excited to dig into the presents Santa left them.


Jake's favorite gifts included a Screature and a DSi.

Morgan's favorite gifts included a Mario Kart DS game and the American Girl doll that she has been begging for over the last six months!!

Santa even remembered to fill up the stockings!!

For Santa...

The kids left the usual milk and cookies for Santa, along with the special letters they wrote for him.

Then it was off to bed where visions of sugar plums danced in their heads!

Christmas Eve Dinner

The family came over for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner... Chinese food!! Yum!

After dinner we all continued the celebration with English crackers. The kids absolutly love popping them open and finding the cool little gifts inside.

The traditional paper crowns are also always a big hit!

Family always makes the holidays more special!

Morgan and Jake donned their favorite Christmas get-up for their last day of school before the winter break holiday party.

Christmas at the University

Tonight was the annual university Christmas party. The kids had a blast. I even convinced them that they aren't too old to sit on Santa's lap.

The highlight of the night had to be the ice skating! This year the university rented an ice skating rink. I didn't think my kids would ever get off of it. It was definitly their favorite part of the night!!

A Day with the Blue Jackets

As a reward for selling so much Boy Scout popcorn this fall, Jake won a day with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He has since decided that hockey is his new favorite sport.

(The bouncy slide was fun too!!)

I love how serious he looks as he takes aim for the goal.

Boo At The Zoo!!

Today was a great day to visit the Columbus Zoo. The sun was shinning and Boo at the Zoo was being held this weekend. So we borrowed the twins and headed off for a day of watching animals and trick-or-treating! Judging by the penguins in the background, Jedi Jake and his two trusty Ewoks (Ethan and Elaine) must be on the ice planet of Hoth.... But how did the witch, known as Morgan, find her way here?? We stop for a photo-op. Everyone smile and say BOO!!!! It's like watching a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's, The Birds... In color!! I see Mummy made it into the picture with the kids, but where's Daddy?? It was a long, but fun day!! By the time we left the zoo, I think EVERYONE was ready for a nap!!
